When making a tour reservation on our site, where appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to assist us in processing a tour booking or your request to receive our monthly email newsletter.

We collect information from you when you make a tour reservation, subscribe to our newsletter or you elect to enter information on our site (e.g. fill-out the Contact Us form and/or use our Chat functionality).
How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you to reserve your and/or your group’s space on the tour(s) with DETOURS American West and our partner tour operators, you’ve requested via our website, upon your request we enroll you to receive our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, to manage sessions while you surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:
- To quickly process your transactions.
- To send periodic emails regarding your order or other news and/or information about our work.
How do we protect visitor information?
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.
We use regular Malware Scanning.
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all communications with our web servers, including sensitive/credit information you supply, is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
We implement a variety of security measures when a user places a tour booking, and/or submits their information so as to maintain the safety of your personal information.
All monetary transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.
