TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

The highlight of this tour are the two magnificent rock formations known as the Teepees.

Divided into North and South Teepees, these multicolored, conical sandstone spires stand tall in an otherwise flat landscape, towering high above the surrounding wilderness. The geology of the Teepees is extremely similar to The Wave, an iconic rock formation nearby. However, to see the Teepees, no permit is required, so the destination is much more accessible. Orange and red sandstone make up the scenic beauty of this area and the photography potential is unparalleled on our Teepees Tours.

The Teepees Tours depart from Kanab, UT or Page, AZ at approximately 8:00am and returns at approximately 3:00pm.

Packages start at $220

For those willing to make the trek, this destination is sure to amaze. The rest of the world seems to fade away as the Teepees come into view. Even when standing as tall as possible, we seem like a mere speck of dust in the wind next to the towering formations. But don’t let that intimidate you! The views here are something you can show off in photos for years to come! The difficulty of the hike is moderate, but depends on weather conditions. The hike is about 4-5 hours long through rock and sand. It’s perfect for hikers who want to see geology similar to The Wave, but were not able to get a permit.
