On this 6 day/5 night tour, you get the once in a lifetime chance to see history, right before your eyes! With ancient ruins, petroglyphs, sacred mesas, and serene scenery, what more could you want? This unique tour starts out of Phoenix and begins with a visit to Canyon De Chelly, where you will rest easy for the night. Early the next morning, with the help of your guide, venture down into the canyon. Here we learn about the present and ancient Navajo farmers and shepherds that have lived in the canyon, to which have inspired movies, novels, and legends. Following our time in Canyon De Chelly, we then travel to the heart of the Navajo’s sacred land to see the spectacular formations of Monument Valley. Along the way, we are presented with the opportunity to see beautiful ancient Anasazi petroglyphs in restricted areas that you can only see with a guide. The next morning drive down to the shores of Lake Powell and take a scenic boat ride to Antelope Canyon or hike the picturesque area of Horseshoe Bend before settling in at the Lake Powell Resort. After seeing the sunrise over Lake Powell, your next two days are a whirlwind of Native American culture and jaw dropping views at locations like Lower Antelope Canyon, Rainbow Bridge, and Grand Canyon Village where you can truly see why Native Americans believed it to be sacred. After this one of a kind adventure, you won’t want to go back to the city and join the real world again.
